British Caledonian (BCal) was a private, British independent airline, operated out of Gatwick Airport in the 1970s and 1980s. It was formed in the '70's when the Scottish charter airline Caledonian Airways. A series of major setbacks during the 1980s forced BCAL to look for a merger partner. In December 1987, British Airways gained control of the airline. Here we have BCAL's DC-10-30 which it used on the long-haul International routes. On a 100% cotton heavyweight cotton shirt, this is sure to be popular with many of us who remember this great airline!
