We have two other Eastern B727 shirts, but this is the first "WhisperJet". The word "Whisperjet" was a reference to the fact that, in comparison with propliners and even the larger 707 and DC-8 jets, the 727s tail-mounted engines made for a quieter flying experience for the passengers. Eastern's first 727s were every bit as loud and smokey (cool!) as United's and American's. On the back is the 727-200 superimposed over a collage of cities served by Eastern adapted from a timetable of the day. This shirt has become so popular we are offering it also in Navy Blue, our best selling shirt now! The front has a 727 on the pocket with the slogan "The Wings of Man". On a 100% cotton Royal Blue shirt.
