Republic Airlines began in 1979 with the merger of North Central Airlines and Southern Airways. In 1980, following its buyout of Hughes Airwest, Republic became the largest airline in the United States by destinations served. The route network was served with the world's largest Douglas DC-9 fleet of which it received a number of the first variation, the DC-9-14 from North Central. It, as well as RC's other aircraft types, operated in a revision of the North Central livery. Here we have it, with a background modified from an old Republic Timetable. A front print on a 100% cotton Royal Blue or Navy Blue shirt.
